1. Sandals
Whether they are strappy or flat, sandals can both enhance and complete your look. Metallic strappy sandals are seen on celebrities everywhere and you can even go gladiator with your look.

2. Clutch
The clutch has been revived and is better than ever this summer. Clutches can make a bold fashion statement and even be the center of conversation. Some have jewels, feathers and even come in metallic colors.

3. Sunglasses
Although sunglasses are reveled for their protection, they are also a major fashion statement. Nothing says chic like those two interlocking C’s on either side of your cool, new shades. Look for sunglasses with a little more bedazzling this season, wraparound styles, aviator style for the pilot in all of us, cat eyes, cool metallic’s and for colors as bright as they come. This year a popular trend is wearing them on your head similar to a headband but less for holding back hair and more for advertising what designer you are wearing.

4. Belts
It can be skinny or it can be huge, but belts are everywhere. Cinch your waist with a wide leather belt and you have completed your look. Pick up a few in various styles and colors.

5. Hats
Hats are hot this year. Wide brimmed straw hats are back with a vengeance. Fishing hats or bucket hats are also popping up on the best dressed lists this year. You can find hats in leather, denim and just about any other material. It takes a strong woman to pull off some of this season’s hats.

6. Straw or Canvas Totes
Totes are a great accessory as an alternative to the huge purses from last year although the hobo bags are still around. Totes are cheaper so you can afford to buy a few. Try a wild, bold color to spice up an outfit or as an alternative to a diaper bag.

7. Bracelet(s)
Put 8-10 skinny bangles on your wrist and you are in business. Too many? Opt for a few, large woven bangles. Several designers came out with different versions of the charm bracelet which proves that designers are focusing on accessories as much as clothing this year.

8. Go Nautical
Let the sailor in you go free (but watch your language)! Go for knots and nautical with fashion this summer. You can find almost every accessory in a nautical theme. There are rope bracelets, necklaces and belts. You can find sailor shirts, skirts and pants plus nautical espadrilles. Sailor chic is everywhere.

9. Headbands
Headbands are bulky and definitely more like jewelry. Take a scarf, roll it up and tie it around your head like a headband, all of the celebs are doing it.

10. Necklaces
Think long this year. Whether it is with beads or gold, this summer’s necklace are long and luxurious. Consider layering a few long necklaces for an even bolder statement.
