School Can be Fun

As children are given more responsibilities in school and are expected to do more and perform at a higher level, some may begin to despise school, wishing to go back to the days of preschool when they could play with Legos instead of writing their name. There are a variety of ways to change a child’s willingness to go to school.
Besides cartoons, children love games; board games, water games and sport games. Everyone loves games. So why not make going to school into a game. Pick something that your child really loves and have them look for it at school and tell you all about it when they arrive home. Or you can give them a question and they must go to school to find the answer and report it back to you. Just remember, that when children play games, they love rewards at the end.

If your child takes their lunch to school, start putting a note in their lunch box every day and include something interesting or funny that they would want to share with their peers or teacher. If your child does not take a lunch to school, then write a large amount of notes and give them to the teacher. He/she can hand it to the child before lunch everyday. This gives the child something exciting to look forward to everyday.
Whichever method a parent decides to use to encourage their child to attend school, it must be something that is rewarding and that the child will look forward to everyday.
