How to Throw a Princess Party

If you are lucky enough to have a little girl running around your house, chances are that she is into anything that has to do with princesses. Princess movies, princess dress up clothes, princess books and princess toys all litter your home and make it clear that one very real princess graces you with her presence every day. When the time comes for her to celebrate her birthday, use these ideas to throw her the best princess birthday party ever!
A princess party is the time to go all out on glitz and glamour. Decorate with your daughter’s input. She will be thrilled to be a part of the preparation and may think in more “princess” terms than mom and dad. Simple decorations, such as balloons and streamers can create a gorgeous effect when hung en masse.
When sending out invitations, ask your guests to dress in their royal finest. Keep a box of dress up clothes, jewelry and shoes for the girls to play with once they arrive. When each guest arrives, greet them with a crown or necklace as a gift for them to wear and take home after the party.

To entertain your princess party guests, prepare an arts and crafts activity ahead of time. Have the guests create a picture frame, magnet or mini scrapbook that they can take home with them as part of their favor. Supply them with materials (the sparklier, the better,) so that there are plenty to go around.
Throughout the party, play music from princess movies in the background to set the mood. Serve fancy food such as small finger sandwiches, juice in tea cups and an assortment of pink, sparkly cookies. The piece de resistance; the cake, can be a castle, crown or even bear a picture of your little princess. Your princess will be thrilled with her special day.
