With kids and careers and the demands of daily life, it's sometimes hard to find time for couples to just be couples. The best way that I have found to spend uninterrupted time with my husband is to plan a date night. This could be an elaborate evening out to dinner or something as simple as a pizza and a new release DVD from the video store. Does anyone else have date night at their house?

We have date nights at our house all of the time. We get movies from Netflix, so we usually have a movie on hand.

We also put our kids to bed at a friend's house and then stay and play games with our friends - fun double date without paying for babysitting!

I think spending "alone" time with your spouse is essential to a happy marriage Life gets so busy and it is so important to make our relationship a priority.
We think it is fun to go on a "short" date like out to eat where we can visit and then come home, put the kids to bed and watch a good movie. The problem is my husband always falls asleep.

we really need to make more time to do this! I think a movie date is in our very near future.

We do date nights and usually end up just going to dinner and having a few drinks. Nothing fancy but nice to just have some "us" time.

We recently enjoyed dinner at a food court. Sounds awful., but it was nice to have my husband to myself for just an hour.

We have date night out on our back date. Light all of the citronella candles, spray a little bug spray and open a bottle of wine. We do this once or twice a month after the kids have gone to bed. No computers allowed.

We are also members of the Y right near our house and they have Parents Night Out twice a month. $17 per child for four hours which includes swimming and dinner. This is perfect for us and the kids love it.
