I have a special needs son, Noah, who is 11 years old. He has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He is non verbal for the most part, he says about 10-15 words such as Mama and Daddy. He does communicate a lot with sign language. Although he hears perfectly fine, sign language is his main mode of communication. He also is in a wheelchair, although he is learning to walk in a walker it is difficult for him so the wheelchair is his main mode of transportation and he's really good at it. Too good at it in fact - popping wheelies and racing other students at school!!

Routine is very important for our family and for Noah. He likes to know what is happening and when it is going to happen and if there's a scheduling problem or routine gets messed up somehow, he's thrown for a loop!

Looking forward to hearing from other special needs parents!!
