Create a Summer Vacation Map Photo Frame

Will you be taking a vacation and traveling somewhere this summer? Whether you will be going near or far away, you’re bound to have a map leftover from your travels, so why not use one to create a unique picture frame to frame one of those priceless summer memories.
Materials Needed:
Plain wooden picture frame (I got mine at Michael’s for $1.00.)
Map
White craft glue
Foam Brush
Instructions:
1. Cut the map into strips that are about one inch larger than each side of your picture frame.
2. Squirt some of the glue into a disposable container. Add water to the glue to make it runny. You’ll want it to be about the consistency of paint but if you don’t get it perfect, it’s ok. Using the foam brush, paint the glue/water mixture on to the sides of the picture frame.

3. Place the paper strips on top of the glue and smooth them down. Add glue to the top of the paper as well smoothing down as you go. If it looks like there are air bubbles in the paper, use a popsicle stick to smooth it down and get the air bubbles out.
4. Now you will want to neatly fold the paper over the edge on each side of the picture frame. When you get to the corners of the photo frame, it gets a little tricky. You will need to make a small cut in each corner. Carefully fold the paper over the photo frame on each side. Use more glue to secure the sides of the frame down.
5. When you are finished, let everything dry and set a little while then add one more coat of the glue/water mixture to the top of the photo frame to give it a little shine.
You’re finished. Add your favorite photo and enjoy!
