Fourth of July Picture Opportunities

The Fourth of July is a great time to take photographs. Pictures that are taken outdoors often come out much more vibrant and clear due to the natural lighting available. With all the bold red, white and blue that is present, you are sure to get some great photographs. Here are a few things to remember to snap a photo of.
Parades – There isn’t a Fourth of July that goes by that doesn’t include a parade somewhere. Be sure and grab photographs of your child’s face watching the festivities, or perhaps from behind so you can get the action in the photograph while capturing your child enthusiastically waving at the mass of parade members.
Picnics or BBQs – Be sure and take lots of photographs of your barbecue or picnic, but don’t just snap photos of the people in attendance. Look elsewhere and snap photographs of the food cooking on the barbecue, the pretty decorations around you, or even just the food on the table.
Fireworks – Fireworks are a definitive part of the Fourth of July festivities. Don’t forget to aim the camera at the faces of your family watching in wonder or pointing at a unique burst.

Clothing – If you are known to purchase a special shirt each Fourth of July or maybe your daughter is all decked out with pigtails and ribbons, be sure and snap photographs of what everyone is wearing that day.
Sparklers – What Fourth of July would be complete with out the addition of some sparklers? Take pictures of your children or even the big kids in your life playing with sparklers. Play around with the settings on your camera to get some new and unique photographs of this fun activity.
Decorations – Who doesn’t enjoy a little red, white and blue décor? Maybe you set the table especially for the Fourth of July, or maybe you hang a wreath on your door? Go around and snap photographs of the decorations.
Food – There is a wondrous amount of great food served at the various picnics and barbecues. Snap photographs of special Fourth of July cakes, Jello molds or anything else that looks particularly appealing.
There are so many fun and creative ways to commemorate the Fourth of July. Be sure and snap a lot of photographs, and remember even the things you wouldn’t normally think to take a picture of.
